A modern exploration of a past that never existed. A collaboration between a dancer, a photographer and a make-up artist in an old style Japanese house, my residence and also my studio.

The piece the model is wearing is very unique. It was custom made by my wife’s grandmother using kimono’s textile as present to her daughter almost 50 years ago.

She was a kimono maker, and we still preserve some of her unique creations. She passed away in 2019. Rest in Peace.
