Luis Mendo - Illustrator
Luis Mendo is a Spanish illustrator based in Tokyo since 2013. His beautiful and unique illustrations get often published on globally recognized publications like The New York Times, El País, Vanity Fair, Vogue…
He’s spent his life between Spain and the Netherlands, where he used to run his own design studio as Art Director and Designer until he moved to Japan, where he reinvented his career as an illustrator.
Luis and I are good friends, and since I interviewed him and his wife Yuka back in 2018 for State of Tokyo, he often reaches me out when in need for new portraits for his own PR, including interviews, personal website, etc.
